The SouthEnd Minor Hockey Association (SEMHA) has been involved in the community of Ottawa South for over 30 years. Our home arena is the Jim Durrell Recreation Centre, located on Walkley Road, just east of Bank Street in Ottawa. SEMHA is a member Association of the Bytown District, the Ottawa & District Minor Hockey Association (ODMHA) and the Ottawa District Hockey Association (ODHA) and by virtue of this affiliation is also a member of Hockey Canada, the governing body of amateur hockey in Canada.

SEMHA is responsible for the organization and delivery of the house league/recreational hockey program for all members within our geographic boundaries. In 2006, approximately 540 players and 38 teams within the Initiation, Novice, Atom, PeeWee, Bantam, Midget and Juvenile were playing hockey within SouthEnd. More detail on age ranges and structure are provided on our Association Structure page.

SEMHA believes and endeavors to ensure that minor hockey is a positive and rewarding experience. Players grow up together, become fit together, learn the importance of partnership and teamwork, and generally become better prepared for life. We as an Association -- our players, coaches and parents -- respect the Code of Conduct signed as part of Registration.

The success of our Association rests on the efforts of our volunteers. For more information on getting involved, please see our Volunteers page. Get involved! Volunteer!! Help out in any way you can.

If you have suggestions, comments or questions, please don't hesitate to contact members of the Executive.
